Jeans for Genes Day – Friday 1st October 2010

A huge thank you to all who came and supported this wonderful charity at our session on the 1st October. We raised a fantastic £84.50 through the sale of homemade cakes and biscuits, fifi flowertot stickers and our special “denim” crafts including decorating your own denim purse.

Jeans for Genes is a UK children’s charity that aims to change the world for children with genetic disorders. Individually, genetic disorders are rare but together they affect 1 in 25 children born in the UK – that’s more than 30,000 babies each year. Their associated health problems mean that genetic disorders are the biggest killer of children aged 14 years and under. All money raised for the charity provide funding for the care and support of children with genetic disorders. They also help to fund research into genetics and the development of effective treatments and cures and every year they offer funding to a range of charities. Thank you again for your support!
